A Bit About Me

Living in Maine’s MidCoast, I am married with four fabulous children. The first was born by Cesarean section, the second a vaginal birth in a city hospital, and the third and fourth were beautiful, empowering births at home. My love for teaching began as a career working with children diagnosed with autism and their families. After navigating the maternity maze through four pregnancies and four very different births, my focus shifted from encouraging and supporting parents to advocate for their children to supporting women to advocate for themselves.

Encouraging and giving women the tools they need to make informed choices, especially as it pertains to issues of pregnancy, childbirth and early parenting is my passion. My training in childbirth education and doula work are through CAPPA (Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association), Lamaze, ALACE (The Association of Labor Assistants and Childbirth Educators), and BirthArts International. I am also a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC).
